In an interview with CIO Applications, Doug Jacoby and Kenny Natiss, Managing Partner’s of The LCO Group, discusses the firm’s services that have propelled them to great heights in the managed IT services realm.
What are the key challenges that your clients face on a regular basis in the managed IT services market? And how do you solve them with your services?
One of our biggest challenges is the implementation of security and controls without hindering productivity. Our approach is to fully understand any relevant compliance factors such as HIPAA, Sarbanes, FINRA, DFS, GDPR, NIST, and others.
What would you say are the benefits of collaborating with you? What methodology do you adopt in offering your managed IT services offering?
The biggest benefit of working with The LCO Group is that we really take the time to understand a customer’s business, its needs as well as their budgets. We then craft an effective technology plan that is right for each and every customer. Additionally, we are very flexible in the way a customer may engage us. It can be on a project basis, break fix, partially managed, or fully managed basis. These factors are what make our approach very unique in the MSP space.

Could you elaborate on a customer success story to substantiate The LCO Group’s excellent service cadre?
One of our more recent memorable customer stories involves an internet startup firm that had come up with a very interesting product. Their team had strong programming knowledge but lacked proficiency in security, networking, or desktop support. We were hired to create – from scratch - a fully functional, scaleable, and easily managed IT infrastructure that could be fully managed by internal personnel (as their end-goal was to be bought out by a major vendor in a few years and did not want to be reliant on 3rd party vendors). Sure enough, three years later, Apple offered them a large sum of money for the acquisition, and were pleased that this firm had a fully functional IT department that could scale as necessary without relying on external vendors.
Our methods are tried and proven. Having been refined over the last decades of our business we implement a true team approach.
Moving on, how do you envision the growth of your organization in 2019 and in the years to come?
We will continue to grow our focus on cloud computing, cyber security, virtual CTO services, programming and database services. We will also continue to invest in highly skilled personnel to further strengthen our team.
About the future of the organization, what plans do you have in store for The LCO Group? Where do you see this company in the next few years?
We plan to continue to expand our proven model to additional markets in the U.S. having proven our model in the New York Metro area, one of the most demanding markets in the U.S. We will continue to implementing our one stop shop, flexible engagement approach that has been so beneficial to our customers.
